COMPLETE redesign breakdown (DETAILED)

COMPLETE redesign breakdown of A guy I found on X haha

Engagement will get you far and here’s proof.

I stumbled upon the Happyerist page through comments.

Saw his website and knew he needed some help.

So here we are.

Sit back cause this about to be a hell of a ride:

1. Header Section

The header takes up way too much space.

There is no reason for it.

Almost 30% of the height of the screen.

For nothing.

Therefore, we reduced it’s height.

2. Hero Section

This is what we first see on the website:

There’s no headline for people to understand what this is about.

There’s just texts.

Boring.

It’s highly unlikely that someone will read this.

Secondly: No CTA.

This damages the conversion rate. (obv)

So how do we fix this?

  • Add a strong headline

  • Make the headline bold & big size

  • Add a CTA

Here’s what it looks like:

3. Body Section

3.1. About:

Now there’s a problem:

”If you remove his life stories, how do people know who he is, especially to those interested in signing up!?”

We moved it down.

Why?

We wanted to make it optional.

If people are interested, then they scroll to read.

Boom, not so hard is it?

3.2. Gifts

We put the gift option close to the bottom as it:

  • Act as another CTA to get viewers hooked

  • Add more people to the Newsletter

  • Act as a reward for scrolling/being interested

Honest opinion: This is the best spot of the old website.

We just however redesigned it to match our new aesthetics:

This is just straight-up looks out of brand.

If I said this was Adidas you’d probably believe me.

Why?

  • Colors don’t match

  • No original designs

So what did we do?

Changed everything.

Particularly:

  • Added the newsletter section (one more CTA)

  • Added the necessary links

  • Moved the Twitter link in the footer

Honestly, this is getting too long.
